What is osteopathy
Osteopathy is a therapeutic approach that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal and functional disorders of the body. It is based on the principle that the human body has a self-regulating capacity and that issues within the musculoskeletal system can impact overall health.
Osteopaths use manual techniques, such as manipulations, stretching, and pressure, to restore joint mobility, improve blood and lymphatic circulation, and promote the body’s healing. Osteopathy takes into account the body as a whole, considering the relationships between different systems (muscular, articular, nervous, etc.) and their impact on health.
It is often used to treat chronic pain, sports injuries, postural disorders, headaches, as well as other conditions. Osteopathy does not replace conventional medicine but can be used as a complement to enhance quality of life and promote patient well-being.
